Faucet & Fixture Repair, Replacement & Installation in Jacksonville & Orange Park, FL

A dripping faucet, a shower head with no pressure, a loose handle, or a shower valve that won’t hold temperature. Small fixture problems turn into daily annoyances, and some quietly waste water or damage cabinets while you wait. Lance Maxwell Plumbing repairs, replaces, and installs faucets and plumbing fixtures for homes and businesses across Jacksonville, Orange Park, and the rest of Clay, Duval, and St. Johns counties. We’ve been a locally owned plumbing company here since 1994. We diagnose the problem first, repair it when that makes sense, and recommend replacement only when it’s the better long-term choice.

Common Faucet and Fixture Problems We Fix

  • Faucets that drip or won’t shut off completely
  • Leaks around handles, spouts, or the base of the faucet
  • Loose, stiff, or hard-to-turn handles
  • Weak or uneven water flow from faucets and shower heads
  • Shower and tub valves that don’t regulate temperature
  • Hot and cold water that won’t mix properly
  • Leaks under the sink at supply lines and connections
  • Faulty tub and shower diverters
  • Corroded or damaged fixture hardware
  • Fixtures that keep leaking after previous repairs

Faucet Repair for Kitchens and Bathrooms

Kitchen and bathroom faucets get constant use, so internal parts wear out. Most drips and handle leaks come down to a worn cartridge, washer, O-ring, or valve seat. When the faucet body is in good shape and parts are available, a repair can restore smooth operation and extend the life of a quality fixture.

Cartridge Repair and Replacement

Most modern faucets and shower valves use a cartridge to control flow and temperature. A failing cartridge causes drips, stiff handles, inconsistent temperature, or water that won’t fully shut off. Cartridges aren’t universal, so we identify the exact make and model before replacing it.

When Faucet Replacement Makes More Sense

Repair isn’t always the best answer. We’ll recommend replacement when:

  • The faucet has needed repeated repairs
  • Replacement parts are hard to find or discontinued
  • The body is cracked or heavily corroded
  • Several internal parts are worn at once
  • The repair cost is close to the cost of a new fixture
  • You’re remodeling or want better efficiency or function

We’ll give you both options and the cost of each so you can decide.

Professional Faucet and Fixture Installation

Installing a faucet involves more than tightening a few connections. Proper installation prevents slow leaks that damage cabinets and countertops, and gets hot and cold connections right. We install new kitchen and bathroom faucets, shower heads, handheld showers, tub spouts, and shower trim, including name-brand fixtures from Delta, Kohler, Moen, and Toto. We can also install a fixture you’ve already purchased, as long as it’s compatible with your sink and plumbing. Old shutoff valves are often corroded or seized, so we’ll replace them during installation if needed.

Planning a larger remodel? See our plumbing installation services for relocating fixtures and new rough-in work.

Shower Head Repair and Replacement

Northeast Florida’s mineral-heavy water clogs shower heads and aerators over time. We service and replace shower heads with low pressure, uneven spray, leaking connections, or dripping after the water is shut off. Sometimes cleaning or replacing a small part is enough. Other times a new shower head is the faster, longer-lasting fix.

Toilets and Other Fixtures

Toilets are fixtures too. For running toilets, weak flushes, and leaks at the base, see our plumbing repair services. For new toilet installation, see plumbing installation. If a fixture problem turns out to be a slow drain, our drain cleaning team can help.

Residential and Commercial Fixture Service

We service fixtures in homes as well as offices, restaurants, retail spaces, and apartment communities. Commercial fixtures take much heavier use, so we’ll help you decide whether to repair existing hardware or upgrade to something built for the traffic. Faucet & Fixture FAQs

Can a leaking faucet usually be repaired?

Yes. Most leaking faucets can be fixed by replacing a worn cartridge, washer, O-ring, or seal. We inspect the faucet first to make sure repair is practical.

When should I replace a faucet instead of repairing it?

When it’s heavily corroded, keeps leaking after repairs, needs parts that are hard to find, or costs nearly as much to repair as to replace.

Can you install a faucet I already bought?

Yes, as long as it’s compatible with your sink, countertop, and plumbing connections. Send us the model before your appointment if you’re unsure.

Why is my shower handle hard to turn?

Usually a worn cartridge or mineral buildup inside the valve. Replacing the cartridge often solves it without replacing the whole valve.

Do you repair commercial faucets and fixtures?

Yes. We service fixtures in commercial and multifamily properties as well as homes.
